Sumi-E for Some of You

WE STILL HAVE SPOTS LEFT!

Art Teacher Terri Epps will teach a 2-hour class for parents to explore the beautiful Japanese art form called Sumi-E.  Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of Sumi-E including making ink, care of the brush and exploring the specific brush strokes of the first Two Gentlemen - the Bamboo and the Wild Orchid. Students will have ample time for practice and will create a final work of art on Rice Paper.  Tea and cookies will be served.

The class will be held on Friday, March 26, 2010, from 8:15am to 10:15am in the Art Lab.  Adults only, please!
