General Meeting Tomorrow Morning

Ladies & Gentlemen,

The next General Association Meeting of the McGaugh Elementary PTA is tomorrow, 1 April 2010, at 8:15am in the school auditorium.  We will be having guest speakers to discuss the current "issues du jour" concerning parking versus the tennis courts at McGaugh Elementary.  There will also be attendees with various jobs from our city leadership.  This is a reminder that we encourage respectful discussion of differing viewpoints in our meetings in order to gain the best information possible.  Please also remember that PTA meetings are completely non-partisan and relate only to promoting what is best for all of our children.  Should topics stray into political discussion or agendas that do not concern the immediate well-being of our children they will be shut down immediately.

Yearbook Deadline Approaching

Dear 5th Grade Families,

Thank you to everyone who submitted photos and "messages from home" for the yearbook.  We had a great response, with nearly every student earning McGaugh bucks for meeting the deadline and Room 40 winning the popcorn party for having the most participation.  The response was so great, in fact, that all classrooms will be rewarded with home-made cookies.

If you haven't turned in your photos or "messages from home" yet, please turn them in to your classroom teacher by the final deadline: Tuesday, March 16.

Keep in mind that we will not have room to include every photo that was submitted.  Also, don't worry if you don't have photos to submit.  Our goal is to have every student pictured at least twice from the photos that we select.  To ensure that every student is represented, the yearbook committee will be on campus taking photos of any student who is not pictured in the selected photos.

If you have any questions, please contact the yearbook committee representative for your classroom:

Gaw: Kyoko Sickler

O'Brien: Lisa Valentincic or Amalia Almasy

Salmones: Angie Whitman or Karen Morrisroe

Kostrzewa: Jana Ward
